 It is the duty of the Deacons of the Clarence Presbyterian Church to attend to those who are in need, sick or distressed both within and outside of the congregation. Deacons may also be called upon to lead worship through prayer, through readings of the Scripture and through assisting with communion. Deacons are also responsible for contacting the appropriate authorities when they possess knowledge of harm or risk of harm to others when the abused lacks the metal capacity to do so themselves.
