Children's Pentecost Service (5/31/2009)

For Pentecost this year, the children ran the entire 10 AM Sunday morning worship service. After preparing for months every child was ready to fulfill his or her part during worship that morning. So, i
n a decorated sanctuary, with a congregation dressed in red and with their red Clarence Presbyterian Church t-shirts on, the children began their special celebration.

The service began with both song and dance performed by the church's youngest youth. Up the aisle they marched, dancing and waving ribbons through the air as a bird flew lazy circles above them to the tune of the hymn "Spirit." Later the high school aged youth made presentations of how the Holy Spirit had affected them in life. Some shared their music through the guitar, another shared a story while the final presentation was a slideshow of photos from Duffield.

Ultimately the service was a spectacle to behold, and every child was proud of the effort they had put into it during the weeks prior to the end of May. Each had their very own part of the service to remember. The Holy Spirit was  certainly present on that day.
